A beautiful, faithfully restored Edwardian Art Deco hotel located in the center of Napier and close to the vineyards.

The County Hotel is situated in the center of Napier the 'art deco capital of the south pacific'.

Originally built for the Hawkes Bay County Council in 1909, the County hotel is one of only two significant buildings to have survived the massive 1931 earthquake.

Faithfully refurbished as a boutique hotel in 1990 the County Hotel now stands as Napier's flagship hotel - a boutique hotel of exquisite character distinction and charm.

Chambers Restaurant

The County Hotel's restaurant, on the ground level, serves multi-award winning international cuisine 7 days a week and is recognized as one of the finest silver service restaurants in Napier, with more than eighty local wines, expert service and absolutely delicious food.

Churchills Bar

Get away from the hustle and bustle of the world in our English style corner bar where bar snacks are a speciality and you can chat to the barman, meet friends or just relax with pre-dinner drinks or a nightcap. Chirchill's prides itself upon exceptional service with a superb selection of champagnes, wines and spirits. A wonderful selection of cigars and single malt whiskey's in one room, cocktails and champagne in another, this beautiful boutique bar is one people simply don't want to leave.

LOCATION:

Hawkes Bay is home to many world class vineyards, orchards, heritage trails, and one of the worlds largest gannet colonies. It is situated on the east coast of the north island of New Zealand, tucked away in a coastal bay filled with warm sea and astounding scenery.

 

A timeless splendour emanates from each of the 18 luxury rooms. Choose from a queen, king or super king suite, each of which is named after a New Zealand native bird.

All of the rooms have Sky TV, air-conditioning, extensive mini-bars, tea and coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board, ensuite, internet connection, are large and spacious and most certainly in keeping with the grandeur of the era.

Each ensuite bedroom includes writing bureau, Sky TV, phone, fax & electric blanket

The Regal Suite

This magnificant suite has two bedrooms, one queen and one super king, both with bathrooms. It has huge balconies, a large lounge, 6 person mahogany dining table, fire place and drinks cabinet to name but a few of the features.

The lounge is also more than appropriate for 'roll-aways' for children, giving a maximum accommodation for six.

Both bathrooms also have theraputic spa baths and seperate showers.

Huia

A grand suite presenting one queen bedded room and one super king bedded room, a private lounge, two well-appointed bathrooms both with therapeutic spa baths and balcony.

Kotuku

The Vice Regal Suite, super king bed, therapeutic spa bath, separate shower and private balcony located on the top story.

Ruru 

A superior room with spa-tub and separate shower - the Honeymoon suite.

Pari and Pateke 

Individually queen-bedded luxury rooms each with a bath.

Takahe 

A lovely wood paneled luxury twin room with wheel chair access to the ensuite.

Tui and Kaki

Inviting rooms each providing wheelchair access.

Kiwi, Whio, Kokako, Mohua and Tieki complete the picture.
