This magnificent country house is situated a pleasant 15 minute drive from the center of Rotorua and boasts 12 ensuite rooms, sweeping lake views and, superb facilities. Away from the main visitor hub and the sulphur fumes it is an ideal base for those wanting to explore the Bay of Plenty and experience Rotorua, the spiritual home of New Zealand's Maori culture and world renowned geothermal wonders, or for those that simply want to relax and refresh.

The Lodge has many common areas for guests to enjoy. 

• On the first floor a grand balcony opens out from the lounge and is the perfect spot to relax and soak up the lake views.
• In the cooler months, the open fire provides a homely place to unwind and chat with friends, both old and new. 
• The Bar and Billiards room is a popular place to unwind and chat or shot some pool before or after dinner. 
• The home theatre is always a popular retreat for families.

The Estate

This magnificent country house is situated on a 15 acre lifestyle farm. There are a variety of animals on the grounds. You can expect an enthusiastic greeting from the owners' friendly champion Schnauzers.  Other animal residents include the owner's NZ sport horses, Thelma the Captain Cook pig, the donkeys, and you will often see sheep and deer on the neighbouring working farm. A passion for native New Zealand birds means that you will find many in the gardens, enticed by their favourite treats and habitats.

Restaurant

The estate offers an intimate fine dining a la carte restaurant available for resident guests and casual dinners. Lodge chef's never fail to delight diners with classic fresh country cuisine. The lodge is fully licensed and meals are complemented with a select range of New Zealand wines and a well stocked bar.

Conferences/Retreats

The manor is fully equipped for conferences of up to 20 individuals or 12 couples. Several "breakaway" areas are available indoors for smaller group sessions, while the grounds provide unlimited options for team building and outdoor pursuits.

Locally there is a vast array of activities available for conference groups to indulge in. Complete conference planning assistance is provided if required.

Each of the four suites are different. This is a heritage arts and Crafts house and has been rated 5 star for Guest and hosted accommodation by qualmark. The rooms are nicely furnished and provide very nice amenities.

There is a complimentary mini-bar including beer, soft drinks and spring water. Other complimentary room inclusions, Port, chocolates, fresh flowers, and magazine selection.

All suites have their own bathrooms.
