Glenfield House offers superior boutique Bed and Breakfast accommodation in a stylish Victorian character villa. Built in 1884 it is a legacy of Dunedin's prosperous past.

Your hosts Guy and Lyndsey Farland, a young kiwi couple offer warm, and relaxed hospitality.

Enjoy comfortable beds and elegant ambience in this stunning, lovingly restored period home. Real coffee, fresh orange juice, home made jams and a gourmet breakfast using local produce await you in the morning.

An evening meal can be arranged with prior notice. Restaurant recommendations and reservations can also be made on your behalf.

Lyndsey's catering background was developed in London. There she taught at the prestigious Leiths school of Food and Wine. As a freelance private caterer she has cooked for members of parliament and royalty.

The Deluxe King Suite
The Deluxe King Suite is a large spacious ensuite room. It boasts a separate sunroom and balcony overlooking the garden with views of the harbour and ocean. For extra comfort there is a solid wood king bed with a pillow top Sealy Posturepedic mattress with crisp white sheets, cotton and feather bedding. For added luxury a claw foot bath features in the room where one can listen to music, watch television or relax with a glass of wine. This room is the perfect retreat for honeymooners, romantics or people just wanting to unwind.

The Armagh Room
This is a large grand ground floor room with an ornate pressed ceiling, stained glass windows and a feature fire place with a gas fire.The bed is king solid wood with a pillow top matress, crisp white linen, an electric blanket and a wool duvet. The ensuite has a bath/shower and access to the garden.

The Garden Room
The Garden Room is a delightfully sunny ground level room with French doors opening onto the courtyard, gardens and lawn area. The queen wrought iron bed has a pillow top mattress, cotton and feather bedding for extra comfort. It also has a walk in wardrobe, kitchenette, ensuite with a bath and shower and a separate loo.

The Victorian Room
The Victorian room is a sunny queen room with a bay seating area and a completely private bathroom literally one step from the room. The queen bed has a top quality mattress, cotton and feather bedding and crisp white sheets.
