Fox Peak located on New Zealand's South Island and offers hundreds of acres of natural snow, unbelievable silence and stunning views. With a huge variety of awesome trails for all levels of abilities and no crowds due to plenty of space, Four rope tows total over 2km in length provide you with a fabulous 580 metres of vertical lift - the highest in the region. Fox Peak is one of New Zealand's premier ski fields for everyone to enjoy.

It is renowned for its friendliness, mountain accommodation, wide-open spaces and huge runs for all levels of enthusiast. Apart from the learner and intermediate slopes the snow is left in its natural state enabling you to find that special trail that turns you on for that day.

The field is sited beneath Fox Peak the highest point on the giant Two Thumb Range close to midway of the Christchurch - Queenstown Highway You can easily see the 7300 ft mountain from most parts of South Canterbury.

As either a skier or boarder at any level you will be able to find excitement and fulfillment on the trails that are best for you on the day.

The closest town is Fairlie. Fox Peak is 198km from Christchurch, 300 from Dunedin and 98 from Timaru.

From Christchurch, travel through Geraldine to the Farm Barn (cafe at the top of Mt Michael) and follow the road past Lake Opuha and Monument Corner to Clayton Rd.

Travelling from Fairlie, head towards Geraldine and turn left at the Fox Peak sign. From the Clayton Rd gate it's 15kms to a spacious car park situated on a knob above the learner and intermediate tows.
